When Nanna Ditzel designed the Trinidad chair in 1993, she was inspired by the detailed woodwork of Gingerbread facades in Trinidad's colonial architecture. Like the facades, the chair's carvings create a play of light and shadow that gives a sense of movement and depth.

The Trinidad chair from Fredericia Furniture is designed by Nanna Ditzel. The chair was first presented in 1993 and was a design breakthrough for its time. Nanna Ditzel found her inspiration for the beautiful design from her vacations on the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean. The chair is designed to embrace its surroundings as well as the person using it. The chair's design, structure and upholstery ensure a great seating comfort for many hours.

The chair is available in gray stained oak with flint frame, Black lacquered ash with chrome or black frame or in walnut with chrome frame. The leather upholstery is available in clay, black or dark brown and is made of Omni semi-aniline leather.
