The Crate Low Table is based on an original 1934 design by Dutch architect Gerrit Rietveld, who originally created the furniture series from surplus wood from shipping crates. Now the iconic table is relaunched in a modern collaboration between Rietveld Originals and HAY. The table is made from solid pine wood and treated with a water-based lacquer and is available in several color variants. With its square tabletop design, low profile and distinctive cross bracing, the Crate Low Table combines architectural simplicity with practical functionality.
