Erik Jørgensen's extensive network and constructive dialogue with the Danish staff of architects also ensures the workshop, which has now become a furniture factory, steady work and a loyal fan base that celebrates the sublime craftsmanship and simple design that the factory's staff of skilled craftsmen deliver. Another key is Erik Jørgensen's understanding of the market and customer demand for solid design furniture. A third key is Erik Jørgensen's long-standing collaborations with skilled subcontractors in leather, cold foam, wood and steel. Most subcontractors are Danish and help anchor production locally, and the close dialog between factory and subcontractor ensures the high quality of the furniture.

Erik Jørgensen delivers furniture to countries all over the world and as a brand is synonymous with a long-lasting aesthetic. Erik Jørgensen's aesthetics are rooted in tradition and the virtues of craftsmanship, but are also born from innovative furniture designs by both young and established designers.

Innovation has always been high on the list at Erik Jørgensen. That's why Erik Jørgensen has established design competitions for new talents since 1995, from which designers such as Ernst and Jensen, Ditte Hammerstrøm and Gamfratesi have forged their path. The Cabinetmakers' Autumn Exhibition is another local forum in which Erik Jørgensen participates and which celebrates experimental furniture based on open dialog between designer and manufacturer based on our Scandinavian design heritage. Today, Erik Jørgensen A/S is run by Niels and Ole Jørgensen.

This ensures renewal and quality. It ensures perfection and provocation. This is how Erik Jørgensen is secured.

Designed by Erik Jørgensen

Since the EJ 220 was introduced in the early 1970s, Erik Jørgensen's EJ 220 design has set the standard with its low box, narrow armrests and careless appearance. Erik Jørgensen's idea was to create a sofa that was both comfortable and aesthetically easy to relate to. He has succeeded, as the EJ 220 is still one of Erik Jørgensen's best-selling sofas. In 2012, the sofa got a minor facelift in the form of large buttons in the back cushions, giving the sofa a human touch.
