Designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958 for the Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen, the PH Artichoke pendant is today an internationally recognized design icon. With its 72 metal leaves distributed in 12 precise rows of six leaves, the lamp ensures a completely glare-free and comfortable light - regardless of viewing angle. The name refers to the characteristic artichoke-like design that spreads the light both inwards and outwards. The PH Artichoke builds on the idea behind PH's earlier Septima lamp, combining function with world-class sculptural aesthetics.
