Verner Panton, one of today's great designers, born in Gamtofte on Funen, one of the most influential Danish designers in Europe, 1960s.
Verner Panton's great passion was lighting, furniture and room designs in general, he was known for experimenting with new shapes and colors, often using new production methods, materials and colors.
Verner Panton had a material passion for plastic, steel and fiberglass, which made his designs innovative at the time.
Verner Panton was technically trained at Odense Technical School and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture, but he is best known for working as an active architect with Arne Jacobsen in the early 50s.
Verner Panton is famous for many designs over the years, but most of all he is known for
the VP3 table lamp,
VP1 pendant, and
the Montana Wire Wire Bookcase. A beautiful and classic reinterpretation of the popular Panthella lamp has also been released in a
Panthella Mini - in honor of one of today's most famous designs.
